Principle

The three screws of our triple-screw dynamic compounding extruder are arranged in a straight line. The main screw is in the middle. Three screws intermesh and co-rotate in high speed. This design leaves two intermeshing fields, which increasing the rolling areas. This enhances the effective of shearing, crushing and kneading of the materials. Meanwhile, it shortens the length of the screws and lower the negative effects of screw cantilever. Compared with the traditional co-rotating twin screw extruder, with the same length of the screw, this machine has 1.5 times staying time of the material and doubles the effect of plasticizing and mixing.

Technology


  • The screws adopt modular design. Screw elements and shafts are connected with involute spline, which makes it has strong torque transmitting capacity. Profiles of screw elements are designed to be closely intermeshed by advanced CAD method. So the screw elements have outstanding self-cleaning effect and favorable exchangeability. With complete variety, the screw elements and kneading blocks can be optimally configured and set up different processing zones which perform functions such as conveying, plasticizing, shearing, dispersing, homogenizing, degassing, pressure building, etc. Thus the screw configuration can mate with the process configuration properly.
  • Barrels are precisely machined. The inner hole and pinhole could be accurately located and the barrels or liners could be exchanged conveniently. Barrels are equipped with integral carbide oval liners, which enhancing the strength of the liner body and completely overcoming the splintery problem at the seam between split liners. The entrance of feed barrel is specially designed to ensure the input ability and uniform feeding rate which completely matching the high production of the machine.
  • The gearbox of our triple-screw extruder is a torque-distribution and transmission device. Input power is evenly distributed to three output shafts with a symmetrical and balance configuration which cause uniform force on the box and therefore a longest service life.

  • Blending modification and filling reinforcement with strict dispersing requirements and large loading level, e.g., preparation of the polyolefin modification material, engineering plastics modification materials, etc.
  • Reactive extrusion with high requirements on mixing and blending, degassing, residence time evenness, e.g., XLPE cable material, semi-conductive crosslink cable material, TPE and etc.
  • High concentration color master batch and other functional master batch with high dispersing requirements, e.g., high concentration black or white master batch, high filling flame retardant material, and semi-conductive material, etc.
  • In-line compounding and molding of film, sheet, and injection molding components, e.g., gas diffusion film, and long glass fiber reinforced plastics parts.
